Episode #13: Opportunity in Adversity
There are many things to come in 2019. Almost certainly, one of those things will be adversity. The good news is that there is opportunity in adversity! Adversity creates occasions that would not otherwise be possible but for the hardship, the toil, and the pain that it creates. This does not make the adversity less real or less difficult, but if there is one hope of the Advocate, it is that we are all able to see the opportunity a little clearer when the hardship comes.
In a past Advocate, we shared a Weekly Planning Template to help us intentionally think forward about our weeks before they happen. This week’s tool of a Past Year Review (“PYR” for short), is a way to decide what to say “yes” and “no” to based on takeaways from our previous year. We adapted our version of the PYR from the Tim Ferris version. It takes less than an hour to complete and we hope it helps us look back as an informed way to improve our lives going forward.
Free Drip Coffee when you share any takeaways from your Past Year Review (Limit of 1 free drink per customer. Offer expires 1/13/19.)
