Episode #19: Good News Stories

The “what” is easy. Craftwork is a specialty coffee shop and vibrant membership-based workspace with locations in Fort Worth and Austin. We serve craft coffee and are a connected coworking space. But you knew that already. Our “why” is our heart – we desire to create spaces and places where our members and customers experience connection and community.

Happy Monday, friends!

We write the Weekly Advocate to encourage, gift, and connect you. So, what are we waiting for!? Enjoy and have a great week!

There is an old adage in media circles: “If it bleeds, it leads.” Unfortunately, we all know the reality of this. Whether it is local disasters or national fiascos, on average, we tend to hear more negative than positive news. But there are plenty of things happening in the world that are worth celebrating! This article has an awesome assortment of stories of things that are going well with the environment, human health, world peace, and more. Stories that range from the gorilla population increasing, to crime and murder rates decreasing. These 99 stories might help us get a dose of realistic optimism to go along with our more consistently negative news cycles and as our friend Max Anderson says, help us “see there are bright stars in the dark.”

Get a free Cortado when you share which good news story from this list made you most grateful. (Limit of 1 free drink per customer. Offer expires 2/25/19.)

One way we can help you feel connected is through our workspace. If you are not a Craftwork coworking member, this Thursday, you can work from Craftwork for free! Come by, check in with our staff, meet our community (they are awesome), grab a seat, and do your thing. Our mission is that you thrive where you work. Spots are limited (4 at Camp Bowie, 4 at Magnolia, and 4 at Foundry). Find the location closest to you and RSVP here: Camp BowieMagnolia, or Foundry (limit one day per person).
