EPISODE #46: CONSISTENCY > INTENSITY
The “what” is easy. Craftwork is a specialty coffee shop and vibrant membership-based workspace with locations in Fort Worth and Austin. We serve craft coffee and are a connected coworking space. But you knew that already. Our “why” is our heart – we desire to create spaces and places where our members and customers experience connection and community.
We hope this finds you well. This week we are thinking about the importance of consistency.
Say, we go to the best dentist in the world, but fail to do the simple, consistent, daily task of brushing. What happens? We’ll lose our teeth! The principal applies in our leadership and relationships. Consistency is far more important than intensity. As Simon Sinek reminds us this week, it is the small, daily, and consistent actions that really make the difference in our roles as leaders. We hope this quick note encourages us all towards more consistency in the small actions that mean the most over time.
Consistency > Intensity: Leadership requires daily, consistent action. Like what you ask?
Do we follow through?
Do we show we really care?
Are we fully present or are we distracted?
It is the things we do over and over and over (not the one time intense act) that really make a difference. Consistency > Intensity.
Share for Americano: Sinek references a 3-star General who says the measure of a leader is how much they actually care when they ask a teammate, “how are you doing?” We promise we care when we ask that question. Tell us how you are doing, share this email and we’ll provide the free Americano. (offer expires 09/17/18)
